The Bologna International Boat Show, scheduled for the second edition from October 30 to November 7 2021, is an exhibition dedicated to the entire maritime supply chain with particular attention to the shipbuilding of boats between 5 and 18 meters. Precisely this production segment, which represents the backbone of Italian boating industry, and is identified as the true boating present in the seas of Italy, has favored the birth and development of the new Bologna International Boat Show (SNIB Salone Nautico Internazionale Bologna) which has been able to seize the potential of promotion and development of a strategic territory such as that of the Italian region of Emilia Romagna. The barycentric, railroad/highway connected position of the capital, Bologna, the hotel accommodations, the culture and the gastronomic tradition of the area, are just some positive aspects for the choice of the location, to which are added an extraordinary exhibition area such as BolognaFiere Spa and an institutional propositional value that is highlighted in the strategies that have made the region a productive leader in the Italian GDP.The growth of a show, which keeps the small and medium-sized Italian boating industry at the center of its projects, compared to a boating industry closer to mega yachts and ships, is testified by the growing number of participants and above all by the attribution of the term International conferred as a result of a certification recognized at all levels (Government, ICE, AEFI).
The Italian International Boat Shows (SNIDI-Saloni Nautici Internazionali d’Italia) was founded in 2019 with the aim of promoting the small and medium-sized Italian yachting industry on the national and the foreign, international market. Equal members of the structure are two associations: AFINA (Associazione Filiera Italiana della Nautica - Italian Nautical Industry Association) - which brings together shipyards, accessory manufacturers, major system suppliers (engine manufacturers) and the entire service chain - and PNI (Polo Nautico Italiano - Italian Nautical Center) which groups the trade associations of the Italian regions of Sicily, Campania, Lazio. The over 250 members represent on the one hand the Italian nautical supply chain and the sector's craftsmanship, on the other hand, manufacturers who are looking for new and appropriate markets for their products. The propulsive and entrepreneurial force of SNIDI has thus created the right conditions for the creation of a Boat Show that can favor the development and growth of the Italian nautical supply chain in this market segment.
